A soft drape top (without micro-trim) can be so pretty. For a heavy leather the micro-trim is imperative or the zipper could wobble and/or catch on the lining. For a mid-weight leather (seen here), or a thinner leather like the lambskins, the soft drape top works very well but the micro-trim is still an option for color blocking. We also insist on the micro-trim with the open pocket hobo just for design reasons.

If you ever thought you might like suede, this is the highest quality we have seen. Thick & drapey.

designer's note:

Suede is tricky. This suede has a protectant put on at the tannery but honestly that makes me no less nervous in handling it. It is kind of like a honed marble counter where the first drop of lemon makes you crazy, but eventually it builds to a nice patina. The oils from your hands are a friend to your suede because they build up slowly over time. Keep the oils off in large amounts.
